Tour Itinerary
The itinerary begins with your arrival at the airport in Tokyo and ends with your transfer to the Kansai airport for your departure home. When making your travel arrangements, please keep in mind that the majority of flights to China from the United States arrive the following day and flights back to the United States arrive the same day.
Day 1
Arrive in Toyko |
Upon arrival, meet our local travel assistant who will assist you in boarding a reserved taxi and transfer to your Grand Palace Hotel for rest. |
Day 2
Tokyo |
Take a morning tour to visit Tokyo Tower Observatory, Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Kannon Temple & Nakamise Shopping Arcade, Ueno (drive through). The tour will disband upon arrival at Akihabara or Tokyo Station. (The tour guide will tell you how to go back to your hotel.)The rest of the day is free. |
Day 3
Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo |
Take full day excursion to Nikko. Visit Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Irohazaka zigzag driveway up to the mountains. After Japanese-style lunch at local restaurant, visit Tamozawa Imperial Villa and Kirifuri Waterfall. Irohazaka zigzag driveway down the mountains and drive back to Tokyo. (L)
Tour disband on arrival at Ginza or Shinjuku (There will be No drop-off service to your hotel, so your guide will provided information on returning to your hotel) |
Day 4
Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone |
Take a full day excursion to visit the mountains of Fuji-Hakone, Fuji Visitor Center and Mt. Fuji 5th Station. After a Japanese style set lunch, transfer to Togendai and take the Hakone Ropeway to visit Owakudani Valley. Then, enjoy a Pirate Boat cruise on Lake Ashi. Overnight at Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en. (L)
** Your baggage will be separately transported by land from Tokyo to Kyoto. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage., We recommend that you carry a light overnight bag. Additional baggage will require passenger paid by own.** |
Day 5
Hakone - Takayama |
Transfer to Odawara Station and board JR super express train to Nagoya station. Change trains at Nagoya to Takayama. Upon arrival, take a walking tour to Yatai Kaikan Hall, Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum and Kami Sannomachi Street. Overnight in Takayama. |
Day 6
Takayama - Shirakawa - Kanazawa |
Today, visit Morning Market in Takayama and Former Toyama Family Residence. Visit Shirakawa-go, Gassho-Zukuri and experience making Japanese paper in Gokayama. Transfer to your hotel in Kanazawa. |
Day 7
Kanazawa - Kyoto |
Morning sightseeing in Kanazawa, visiting Kenrokuen, one of Japan's three most beautiful traditional gardens; Kutaniyaki Pottery kiln. Lunch on your own.
Afternoon, take a limited-express train to Kyoto. |
Day 8
Kyoto |
Enjoy a full-day tour of Kyoto. Visit Nijo Castle (when closed, visit Ryoanji Temple instead), Golden Pavilion, and Kyoto Imperial Palace (when closed, visit Nishi Honganji instead). After a buffet style lunch, visit Heian Jingu Shrine, Kiyomizudera Temple. (L) |

Take a seat sharing van to Kansai airport for the flight home. |

Airfare is available to passengers traveling from the United States and Canada, and when booked in conjunction with a land/tour vacation. An additional $250 non-refundable deposit is required (i.e., air-inclusive vacation.) However, once your airfare is confirmed and Delta Vacations has received your full air and land deposit, your air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed. |
